Your Bible study, all in one place ─

Faith That Pleases God

Based on James 1:26-27 and Genesis 21:12-14, this five-lesson study examines what James calls “acceptable religion”—faith that genuinely pleases God through authentic relationship with Christ. Rather than promoting religious activity, this study explores how a real relationship with the risen Savior naturally expresses itself in observable ways that reflect God’s character to a watching world.

The study addresses five essential characteristics of faith that pleases God: controlling our speech to reflect Christ’s nature, maintaining active engagement in God’s work rather than passive Christianity, standing with society’s most vulnerable members, serving others without expecting personal returns, and remaining positioned where God can use us effectively. Through practical biblical teaching and challenging discussion questions, participants will discover how genuine Christianity moves beyond church attendance to establishing a genuine relationship with Christ that has an impact on every area of life.

Each lesson concludes with a reflexive thought to help you meditate on the lesson and contains knowledge check questions to test your understanding of the material.

We suggest completing only one lesson per day.  This will allow you to fully immerse yourself in God’s Word at a meaningful pace. Your progress and position will be saved automatically as you go.
