This four-lesson Bible study explores what happens when the heart hardens through prolonged exposure to sin, bitterness, and rebellion against God. Using the picture of physical heart disease, which develops gradually but produces severe symptoms, the study examines four dangers of a hardened heart: challenging God’s authority, corrupting how we speak to and treat others, blocking God’s healing, and producing spiritual ignorance. Drawing on Pharaoh, the disciples, and the prophets of Baal, each lesson shows how hardening progresses. Participants will learn to recognize the warning signs in their own lives and seek God’s help in restoring a soft, responsive heart.
