This five-lesson study examines the story of Gideon in Judges 6 to explore how God works through pressure, weakness, and unlikely circumstances to accomplish His purposes. Through Gideon’s encounter with the angel of the Lord at the winepress, you will discover that difficult circumstances don’t indicate God’s absence, that relationship with Him requires personal engagement rather than collective identity, and that genuine deliverance comes only when we address root issues rather than merely symptoms.
The study challenges common assumptions about spiritual readiness by exploring how God deliberately chooses the unqualified and calls us to move forward in whatever strength we have rather than waiting until we feel adequately equipped.
Each lesson concludes with a reflexive thought to help you meditate on the lesson and a knowledge check quiz to test your understanding of the material.
We suggest completing only one lesson per day. This will allow you to fully immerse yourself in God’s Word at a meaningful pace. Your progress and position will be saved automatically as you go.
